"Even without a technical background it is possible", Jac and Alex, who run the company together, conclude. KG Systems does recommend that the installation of the track motors, push-off units, fetching tracks and tilting frames be carried out by a specialist; the rest of the system can easily be done by yourself. For example, the brothers themselves connected the air-controlled system for the container conveyors and assembled all the roller conveyors and containers. KG Systems welded the containers for this company, but it is also possible to purchase a do-it-yourself version. This "easy-fix" system from KG Systems is screwed together on-site with an electric screwdriver, the system comes with a clear manual and comprehensive drawings.

In 2011, Karel Bolbloemen installed a completely new greenhouse with the help of KG Systems. For years Karel Bolbloemen has been a major player in tulip production and in order to stay at the top they are always open to new developments and at the same time they are the first to implement them in their company. Earlier on, they switched to a higher greenhouse (7.5 metres) which makes it possible to realise no less than 5 cultivation layers. In order to reach all the cultivation layers, an automated lift system has been built in, which works together with a combination of motors, pull tracks, push tracks and sensors. All systems are controlled by a central computer, which works with a visualisation programme. The system needed perfection and it was necessary to learn how to optimise production. One of the challenges was the ebb and flow system. The water had to be prevented from carrying diseases and was therefore combined with an ozone plant. The advantages of running water are clearly visible: it is easier to control, the tulips root better and they absorb nutrients better, all of which benefits production. In addition to the ebb and flow system, the LED lighting and the outdoor screen are important for achieving the ideal growing condition. Because everything is computer controlled, nobody walks around in the greenhouse, but everything can be controlled and monitored. The strength of this logistic system lies not only in the high-quality level and the savings on labour, but mainly in the communication and operation between all computers, machines, robots and transport systems. This communication is central to the optimal operation of the entire system and makes conditioned cultivation possible.

In the processing room, the start of the cultivation, the spacing and the delivery take place. Rockwool blocks or pots are placed on rolling containers, after which they go to a department with the ideal climate. Because the roll containers are regularly moved from department to department, each plant is given the most effective climate.
